Final images
Why are my final images 3D?
I feel my analogue final outcome is 3D because by layering images it creates depth with in the image, there is visual depth then physical depth in the photo. It makes the image appear 3D because of the rips within the image. I think this appears more 3D compared to the digital outcome.
I think my digital final outcome is 3D because it also has depth in the image. I feel that this outcome has more visual depth then physical. I think this is because the edges between the different images is smooth and less rough then my analogue.
Digital Final
This is my final digital outcome, I took it two images into photoshop and layered them over each-other. I then used lasso tool to select areas of the image on the top. Making a layer out of this selected area and then deleting the layer whole image. I repeated this many times taking different areas of the image and combining them over a compete image. I think this works well because the images have similar composition and framing. I like how the background of both images are not the same shade of white as it make the different layers stand out from each-other. I also like how weird the picture appears. I think it maybe could have been better if I could create a tore paper effect to the edge of the pieces layered over the complete image. By using this technique it widened my skills in photoshop and enabled me to experiment using a 3D technique.
Analogue outcome
This is my final analogue outcome. I took the an image and printed it twice, I then cut and tore areas of the image out and placed them over the top of the complete photo. I think this image is better then the first image I did. I like how they are overlaid off center which creates multiple features of the face. I wish I could have created the torn paper effect using photoshop to be able to use in my digital final outcome. I think I maybe would have used two different images, although I tried this with my experimentation and the two images have to be right to be able to work together
